James Vern Bond

James Vern Bond passed away at home on June 11, 2015. He was born March 31, 1936 in Pomona, California.
After graduating from San Juan High School in Citrus Heights, James served four years in the U.S. Navy. He started a career working for Aerojet in Sacramento. After five years he began his career as an ironworker, and was promoted to superintendent, working all over the United States. He retired after 50 years.
James was a loving husband, father and grandfather, combining two families together when he married his wife of 20 years, Ann Margaret, to make one big, happy, loving family. He was known for his selfless generosity, humor and big smile. 
He enjoyed everyday life, snowmobiling, Nascar, boating, fishing, The Over the Hill Gang Car Club, classic cars and entertaining in his Canyon Lake home. He has touched many hearts and brought joy to many people. He will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; children, Debbie, James, Mike, Erin and Patrick; and grandchildren, Logun, Dakota, Crystal, Danielle, Shannon, Erin and Kimberley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 19, at 1 p.m. at Lamb’s Fellowship, 21901 Railroad Canyon Rd. in Lake Elsinore.
