Aloha! June 20 is the kick-off for summer, and what better way to start the summer season than with a Picnic and Dance at Holiday Harbor? The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild will present “Evening in Hawaii” starting at 5 p.m., with music provided by DJ “Rob Robertson.”
Rob is returning after his “Picnic and Dance” debut last summer. In addition to spinning the platters, Rob will showcase his vocal talents by singing the songs of Elvis, The Platters, The Drifters, Engelbert Humperdink, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and Willie Nelson, to name a few.
“Just when you think it’s time to Hula Dance, he turns into Mr. DJ and fills the house with your favorite dance hits,” says spokesperson Travis Montgomery. There will be prizes for the best decorated tables utilizing the “Evening in Hawaii” theme. Guests are invited to bring their own picnic dinner and favorite beverages. (Fine Arts Guild Benefactors will receive a complimentary bottle of wine.)
Tickets are $20 per person and are available by contacting Marlene Marich at 951-244-4313. Guests are able to reserve tables for eight, or come individually or as couples and join a table to make new friends.
