Women’s Golf to hold Member Guest Tourney

“Tournament of Roses” is the theme for the Women’s Golf Club’s annual Member Guest Tournament on Friday, May 8.

It will begin with a 7 a.m. complimentary breakfast at the Country Club, followed by the 18-hole shotgun tournament at 8. The format is two-best balls of the foursome (one member, one guest).

Immediately following golf, players will gather at the Lodge at approximately 1 p.m. for lunch, opportunity drawings and awards presentations. Gross and net team awards will be given in the various flights.

Sign up as a foursome, twosome or single. Organizers will help find partners for those who need them.

Each player will receive a tee-gift and have the opportunity to win opportunity prizes of complimentary tee-times at area golf courses, gift cards, gift baskets, and cash from the money tree.

The Member-Guest Committee members are Chair Jeannette Williams, Bonnie Harlow, Linda Hudson, Diane Schneider, Anita Fairfield, Kay Arth and Maxine Whalen.

The entry fee is $80 per person including a special tee prize for each player. The signup sheet is in the Golf Pro Shop. Deadline to register was April 28. For more information, call Jeannette Williams at 244-4850.
