In Memoriam – Winifred Baughn

Former resident Winifred (Winnie) Baughn went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 20, 2015. She was born on December 21, 1925 in Sebastopol, California and raised in Fresno, California. On February 10, 1946 Winnie married Bob Baughn and moved to the Los Angeles area. They resided in Orange County until 1986, when they moved to Canyon Lake.

Winnie was active in the Canyon Lake Woman’s Club in the late 1980s.  She was also involved with the Lake Elsinore Christian Women’s Club. Bob and Winnie are members of Canyon Lake Community Church where Winnie was very active in the Women’s Bible Study. They moved to the Oasis in Menifee in 2003, where Winnie lived until her death. Winnie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Bob Baughn, and their two daughters and their spouses, Janine (Larry) Pennell and Lynda (Chris) Salina of Canyon Lake. She also is survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be at Canyon Lake Community Church on Sunday, May 3, at 1 p.m., with a reception following.
