Citywide Cleanup is tomorrow, May 2, at church parking lot

CR&R and the City of Canyon Lake will provide an opportunity to conveniently dispose of bulky items like e-waste, old furniture, appliances and more on Saturday, May 2, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at Canyon Lake Community Church, 30515 Railroad Canyon Rd.

Items that will be accepted are normal household trash, tree trimmings (bundled in four-foot lengths), couches, tables, appliances, mattresses, concrete, asphalt, sod and lumber. Also acceptable are motor oil, antifreeze and used car/motorcycle batteries, as well as e-waste that is banned from landfills such as computers, computer monitors and televisions. Not Acceptable

Items that will not be accepted at the City Wide Clean-Up event are paints, solvents, light bulbs and fluorescents that are intact, as well as hazardous household items such as cleaning solutions, liquids, bleach, pool chemicals and pesticides. These items may be disposed of on the first Saturday of each month (except December and January), from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Household Hazardous Waste City Maintenance Facility in Lake Elsinore, 521 N. Langstaff St.

Goodwill Donations

Canyon Lake Community Church will be accepting Goodwill donations at the same time. This includes clothing, non-perishable food, bedding, etc. Any donations are much appreciated and help a lot of families in the community.

Pets Supplies Wanted

At the same time, Animal Friends of the Valley will be accepting donations of bleach, cat food, dog food (Pedigree and Iams), towels and pet beds for the animals. Residents can support their community by donating.
