Pose with a parrot at Farmers Market Sun.

ParrotThe Canyon Lake Farmers Market is known for its fresh fruits and vegetables as well as household, beauty and craft items. But that’s just a portion of what can be found there.

This Sunday, April 26, residents will have the opportunity to have their photo taken while holding a live parrot! Feathered Ambassadors from the Parrot People Rescue & Sanctuary of Murrieta will be at the Farmers Market from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

One of the ways that The Parrot People earn donations to help these gorgeous birds is to offer the opportunity for people to hold the parrots and have a photo taken, which they get to keep as a memento and in appreciation of their donation. They hope to return to the Canyon Lake

Farmers Market on the fourth Sunday of each month.
The Parrot People have appeared at such events as the Temecula Valley Family Fair, the Temecula Reality Rally, and strolling through Old Town Murrieta and Temecula.

The Canyon Lake Farmers Market operates every Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the upper section of the Towne Center parking lot. It features fresh produce from local farmers and fresh flowers from area growers as well as handcrafted items, vendor merchandise and freshly prepared food. It’s a good place to pick up fresh food and gifts from local vendors.
