‘Day of the Child, Day of the Book’ is coming!

Reservations are required to attend “El Dia De Los Niños, El Dia De Los Libros” on Monday, April 27, from 3:30 to 6 p.m. at the Library. This international celebration will include a performance by Folklorico of Lake Elsinore and Temecula and crafts from Japan, China and Africa. Space is limited, so sign up at the Library.

This program is taking the place of Family Movie Night, which normally would be held that Monday. The official “Dia Day” is on April 30 of each year; however, in 2015, that date falls on a Thursday when the Library is closed.

The Canyon Lake Knitters program is celebrating its first year anniversary. This educational/social group is led by Nancy Headly. Attendees choose their own projects and materials and receive instruction, information and support. A wide skill level is represented, with assistance provided on many related topics. The Canyon Lake Knitters meet in the Library every Wednesday, at 11 a.m.

Coming up next week, Toddler Story Time will be held on Monday, April 20, at 11 a.m. Also that day, Spanish Time for children in grades K-5 will be at 3 p.m.. On Friday, April 24, at 11:30 a.m., Miss Ginny’s Preschool Craft and Story Time will have the theme of “Dinosaurs and Kazoos.”

The Canyon Lake Library is located at City Hall, 31516 Railroad Canyon Rd., in the Canyon Lake Towne Center. Library hours are Monday, 10 to 7; Wednesday, 10 to 6; Friday, 10 to 6; and Saturday, 10 to 3.
