Family Matters Club celebrates with Easter party

April Fools Day was no joke for the Family Matters Club. Instead, it was a fun-filled, Easter-themed monthly meeting at the home of Sosy Robinson that offered a complimentary all-you-could eat spaghetti dinner complete with salad, bread, drinks and a dessert bar.

Attendees also enjoyed games, crafts and a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt that was split into two age groups – one for older children and another for ages 4 and under.
Sosy says, the kids were anxiously waiting for the sun to go down but were kept busy with playing bunny ear ring toss games, making new friends and doing Easter crafts. After the hunt, the kids played with the lights inside the eggs.

The 10 children who found the most eggs were given prizes, while the other children chose a prize from the Easter bucket.
Sosy says all of the families enjoyed the monthly meeting so much that the Family Matters Club has decided to hold a much larger event next year. Keep an eye out for the first annual glow-in-the-dark egg hunt event in 2016.

The Family Matters Club is open to all residents, young and old, kids or no kids. Monthly meetings are held the first day of the month, unless otherwise noted, and revolve around a fun theme with speakers, games, prize drawings, crafts, snack and social time. Locations vary.

The club puts on several events throughout the year to benefit the community and to raise funds for future events and to provide philanthropic donations.
