Accident briefly closes eastbound Railroad Canyon Rd.

On March 16, 2015, at 4:16 P.M., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to the scene of a traffic collision near the intersection of Railroad Canyon Rd. and Canyon Hills Rd. where a Toyota Corolla and a Ford F150 pickup truck collided in the eastbound lanes of Railroad Canyon Rd., causing the Toyota to roll over on its side, trapping the driver.  The driver of the Toyota, a 61-year-old female from Hemet, had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire department personnel. The female driver was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries to her arm; however, her injuries are not life-threatening.

The male driver of the pickup truck, who also resides in Hemet, was not injured and waited at the scene for deputies. Each driver was alone in their vehicle at the time of the collision and no one else was injured.
