Buck-a-Bag book sale is coming to the Library

“The Buck-a-Bag book sale is back with a twist,” says Librarian Sandra Brautigam. “It will go off-the-wall.”

Starting Saturday, March 14, the Canyon Lake Friends of the Library will host the Buck-a-Bag book sale in which participants will still be able to choose their books to fill the repurposed plastic grocery bags for $1; however, this time, the tables will not be out and it will extend beyond Saturday.

“In an attempt to serve more people with our sale, the books will be in the usual sale places around the Library with a few extra displays where space permits. During the week, the spaces created will be filled with more items until Saturday, March 21, or when we are out of books, whichever comes first,” says Sandra. “We have a wonderful selection of items which have been donated to the friends for this purpose: adult and children’s books, music and movies. All proceeds go to the Canyon Lake Friends of the Library to support Library activities.”

The program, “Careful, That’s Hot,” will be presented by the Canyon Lake Library at 12 p.m. on Monday, March 16.

The important topics of children’s burn risks, prevention and first aid will be covered in the one-hour program.

Preschool Craft and Story Time with Ginny Furnish will be held Friday, March 13, at 11:30 a.m. Children enjoy stories, activities and a craft.

The Canyon Lake Library is a branch of the Riverside County Library System. It is located down the hall in Canyon Lake City Hall, 31516 Railroad Canyon Rd. For more information, call 951-244-9181.
