Animal Friends of the Valleys provides animal control services

The City of Canyon Lake contracts with Animal Friends of the Valleys for animal control services. Animal control officers are empowered by state law to enforce regulations concerning the safety of Canyon Lake residents and their pets. Animal Friends of the Valleys may be reached at 951-674-0618.

License applications are available at City Hall or can be downloaded at www.cityofcanyonlake.com.

To report animals endangering people or other emergencies after hours and on Sundays and holiday, call 9-1-1.

To report injured animals or non-emergency situations after hours, call Sheriff Dispatch at 951-776-1099. Press “5” after recording starts for operator.

Animal Friends of the Valleys offers animals for adoption and provides animal services to the Cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake, Murrieta, and Temecula. It is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

Microchipping is available at the shelter for $20.
