Tickets on sale for ‘True Willie’ and ‘Plaid Tidings’

The Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild presents “True Willie,” a Willie Nelson Tribute Concert, and “The Plaid Tiding Christmas Special.”

“True Willie,” said to be “the most authentic Willie Nelson Tribute Band in America,” will be performing at the Lodge on Saturday, November 12, fom 7 to 9 p.m. Critics say Roger Hegyi looks and sounds so much like the legendary country singer, they could have been twins separated at birth.

The evening will include music from Willie’s iconic song book, including “On the Road Again,” “Always on My Mind” and “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys.”

“The Plaid Tidings Christmas Show” is set for December 16. “Plaid Tidings” is the holiday version of the long running musical comedy “Forever Plaid.” This nostalgic music and comedy act by four witty performers and a live combo band is designed to lift the audience’s spirits and fill them with holiday cheer.

For more than 20 years, The Plaids have been one of the most popular groups in theater. This show was developed and produced for family enjoyment, so children are encouraged to attend at reduced cost.

For both upcoming shows, VIP tickets with reserved seating are $45. General Admission (and Benefactor) tickets are $25. For “Plaid Tidings,” tickets are just $10 for children 16 and under. Tickets are available online at brownpapertickets.com, 800-838-3006, or at the POA Office ($25 tickets only).

For more than 15 years, the Canyon Lake Fine Arts Guild has been committed to bringing quality musical entertainment to the community at a reasonable price.
