Preschool Craft and Story Time will start up again next Friday, August 26, at 11:30 a.m. in the City Multi-purpose Room. Kids should check in at the Library before attending. Miss Ginny’s program will have an Olympic theme and is for ages 3-5. It will include music, movement and a craft.  The story time is a free literacy program presented for the community free of charge.

Every Monday at 11 a.m., the Library presents a story time for ages 0-3.  This story time introduces small children to books, stories, songs and movement appropriate for their developing minds and soon will be led by retired school teacher Gretchen Blackford.

Tutoring and SAT study help is available at the Canyon Lake Library from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. The program, developed by high school honor students, assists lower grade children with classwork and teens with preparation for SAT testing.

On Monday, August 29, the Library’s Family Movie program will feature “Zootopia.”  The last Monday of the month Family Movie program meets at 4 p.m. and includes free movie and popcorn courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

The Canyon Lake Knitters are not meeting at this time. Stay tuned for when this popular group is scheduled to resume meeting.

The Canyon Lake Library is located inside the City Hall building. It’s open Mondays, 10 to 7, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 to 6, and Saturdays 10 to 3. It’s closed Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The Canyon Lake Library is a member of the Riverside County Library System (www.rivlib.net) honoring cards and returns from other affiliated libraries. It has a Facebook page. For more information, call 951-244-9181.
