The Parade of Lights is just one month away!

The annual Parade of Lights (boat parade) is only four short weeks away on Saturday, December 12. It’s scheduled to leave East Port at 5:15 p.m. and cruise the East Bay and Main Lake, ending up at Holiday Harbor for the awards.

Need additional motivation to get started on your boat float? There are prizes for the winning floats – not only plaques but cash as well – for Sweepstakes, Commodore’s Award, Best Pontoon Boat, Best Ski Boat and Best Club/Civic Organization.

In addition, dash plate awards will be given to each parade entrant. These can be mounted directly on one’s boat for friends to see.

Please mail in this registration form or download a form from the Yacht Club website at clyc2014.webs.com. The club needs a general idea how many boats will be in the parade this year.

Last minute entrants can sign up at the East Port launch ramp at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the parade. Those who are really late can join the parade by 5:15 or along the route and have some fun! Boats that do not go through the registration process will not be eligible for the judging process and prizes, but are still welcome to participate. Club and group floats are encouraged and welcomed.

Yacht Club Commodore Bob Templeton says, “The Yacht Club and the community are really looking forward to seeing your boat in this year’s parade! Get your boat ready and join in the fun!”
