Blake Echt is February Student of the Month

Blake Echt, standing second from right, was named Temescal Canyon High School Student of the Month in February. Next to him is Canyon Lake Mayor Jordan Ehrenkranz. Many know Blake as The Friday Flyer’s teen columnist.

Blake currently is enrolled in TCHS’s rigorous International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, whose graduates receive the coveted IB Diploma. He plans to study mechanical engineering, and his top college preferences include Texas A&M, UC San Diego and UCR.

Blake tutors after school and says he enjoys the process of learning and applying knowledge. As he has written in a couple of his columns, Blake currently is working with classmates, civic leaders and volunteers on a park restoration project in the City of Wildomar.

Blake’s proud parents are Carmen Elias and Jordan Echt.

Other students recognized in the February Student of the Month Program were Nekai Abriol (EHS), Barbara Gutierrez (LHS), Alaina Martinez (TCHS), Katie DeMoraes (SCOA), Jose Marron (EHS) and Luis Casillas (LHS).
