Holiday Boutique is next weekend at Senior Center

The Senior Center is about to turn into a mini shopping mall as the 15th annual Holiday Boutique opens its doors on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers say the boutique is set up as a “general store,” displaying only handcrafted items. Sponsored by the Senior Committee, this popular event features hundreds of items by 50 vendors. Along with the usual autumn and holiday decorations, Christmas trees and ornaments, there will be jewelry, carved gourds, knitted and quilted throws, afghans, hats and scarves.

There also will be the ever-popular gourmet jams, breads, candy, candles, aprons, wall decor, tole painting, woodcrafts, doll clothes, dog wear, children’s clothing, crocheted tableware, plants, golf trinkets and kitchen decor, to name a few.

Canyon Lakers are invited to “shop ’til they drop” – or at least find a few needed hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, Christmas presents or items for personal indulgence. Proceeds of this event benefit activities at the Senior Center.
