Canyon Lake Community Theatre (CLCT) presents "Theatrix," a Musical Journey Through the Arts, on Saturday, May 5, at 7 p.m. in the Holiday Bay Room at the Lodge. This one night only show will kick off the Community Theatre's benefactor drive.
Theatrix is a cabaret show consisting of a variety of singing, acting and dancing segments. Performances also will preview this year's scheduled musicals, “Annie Jr.,” the all-kid show that will be performed the last weekend in July, and "Into the Woods," the big fall production.
Among the performers featured in Theatrix are the Choraleers, Paul Chenette, Rosalie Perrotte, Ron and Janice Myre and more.
There will be a table for tax-deductible donations. Individuals, corporations and businesses who love to support the arts and encourage local talent are invited.
The annual benefactor drive raises money to present high quality theater in Canyon Lake, as well as acquire much needed technical equipment and repair and/or replace outdated equipment. The benefactor drive will continue until October, ending in a gala benefactor dinner-theater featuring Steven Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning musical, “Into the Woods."
For tickets, call Charlene Landau at 746-4619. For benefactor information, call Ilene Moore at 909-239-1177.
