The Fine Arts Guild has scheduled two upcoming events. Back by popular demand, Jay White will return to Canyon Lake on March 24 in an impersonation of "America's Neil Diamond Live." Jay got rave reviews the last time he performed in Canyon Lake.  

On June 23, the popular singing group Kulayd will be serving “Kulayd in the Park” at Holiday Harbor. This annual Hollywood Bowl style event features entertainment and dancing, plus table decorating, picnic dining and opportunity drawings. 

Riverside County Fair

The Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival will run from February 17 to 26, presented by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, 82-503 Hwy 111. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Headliner entertainment in the Fantasy Springs Concert Pavilion includes LeAnn Rimes, Banda Los Recoditos, Hot Chelle Rae, Uncle Kracker and Super Fiesta, featuring Lorenzo de Montecarlo. All headliner entertainment is included with the price of admission.

General admission is $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for youth. Children under 5 are free.

Opening Friday, February 17, the first five hours of the fair are free – from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fairgoers will be able to walk through the gates at no cost.

Kids Day is Wednesday, February 22 – With each paid adult admission, one child can get into the fair at no charge.

Welk Resort Theatre

The Welk Resort Theatre is featuring "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," a musical comedy for the whole family. It will run through February 26. This is the story of a young entrepreneur who works his way from window washer to VP of the company, all with the help of a book of tips.  

There are 1 p.m. matinee performances Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday; an 8 p.m. evening performance on Thursdays; and a 6:30 p.m. showing on Sundays. 'Of Mice and Men'

Canyon Lake resident Bo Linton plays the role of Boss in the Temecula Valley Players' production of “Of Mice and Men” at Old Town Temecula Theater, 42051 Main St. in Temecula. The show runs February 16, 17, 18, 24, 25 at 7:30 p.m., and February 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20-28 by contacting the ticket office at 866-653-8696 or temeculatheater.org.

• Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will give a benefit performance Thursday, March 1, at 7 p.m. in Town Square Park. Presented by the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, this concert is a key part of the fundraising effort to build a specially-equipped “smart home” in Temecula for Cpl. Juan Dominguez, who became a triple amputee as a result of injuries sustained in Afghanistan.
