According to _The Friday Flyer_ reporter Georgia Zermeno, there were Canyon Lake youths among the 12 high school students arrested on drug charges at Elsinore High School on December 8. Georgia was on campus in conjunction with her own children's activities when she saw the ABC7 news truck on campus and learned about the arrests. Georgia says she saw Canyon Lake students among those arrested.

With almost 35 entries in this year's Parade of Lights, Canyon Lakers and their guests at waterfront homes and parks along the parade route had plenty to cheer about last Saturday as twinkling boat floats passed through the waterways of the community.
