Canyon Lake Bible Club is hosting its third annual Christmas Gala at the Lodge on Saturday December 17, at 7 p.m. More information about the event can be found in the “Holiday Activities” section of The Friday Flyer.

This year, the club has a new Bible teacher, Chaplain Doni Daudel. Doni is a retired San Bernardino Sheriff’s deputy who is no stranger to the podium. He has been sharing the gospel message of Jesus Christ for many years and has had a positive impact on youth and inmates for some time.

Listeners say Doni’s versatile style is sharp and humorous as he dives into scripture each Friday night at 7 p.m. in the Pool View Room at the Lodge, where Canyon Lake Bible Fellowship meets regularly. According to attendee Larry Evans, Doni has a vivid way of telling Bible stories, with just enough humor to keep things fresh and alive.

For the younger set, Co-Chairs Steve and Ruth Martin have been making Bible stories come to life in their weekly adventure club, Kidz Korner, open to children 4 years old through 6th grade. Children enjoy age-related Bible stories, songs, crafts and recreational activities while the teens and adults hear the weekly message by Chaplain Doni.

"Would you like your children to have strong, positive friendships with other community children and enjoy the advantage of having them learn about Jesus and the Bible in a safe, neighborhood surrounding?" Steve and Ruth ask.

They add, "Coming out to the weekly Bible study is an awesome way to get to know exactly what the word of God says, and a perfect way to meet friendly neighbors in your local setting. What better place than at the center point of our community, the Lodge?"
